Honouring Innovative People Practices

The Asian Human Capital Award is conferred by the Ministry of Manpower and INSEAD. This annual Award is the first of its kind in Asia that recognises innovative and impactful people practices adopted by Asia-based organisations, and conferred by a government agency in partnership with an internationally renowned institution. By recognising and showcasing such practices annually, the Award will provide useful case studies on effective strategies to address human capital challenges in Asia

"In this globalized environment… attracting talent and keeping your own is a key to success. This is an unending process in which you maximize the talent, the capabilities you have in your population."

"Whatever the industry, INSEAD's research shows that competitive advantage is increasingly shifting from tangible to intangible assets, such as knowledge, ideas, company culture, innovation, brand, leadership quality, and so on. These intangible assets are largely in the form of people, or at least people are at the heart of the value. However, some companies do a much better job at managing these assets (human capital) and thereby building and leveraging for competitive advantage than others. This is why INSEAD has teamed up with The Singapore Ministry of Manpower in creating the "Asian Human Capital Award" - to identify, recognize, and learn from those firms on the leading edge of human capital management for competitive advantage."

Dean of INSEAD
